Project Overview
The objective of this infrastructure project was to install a 10” pipeline from PerencoTT’s Teak A Platform to bpTT’s Galeota Point Terminal. SMSCL was responsible for managing every phase, including integrating new process piping, onshore equipment, and critical components such as the ESDV Station, Pig Receiver, Pigging Debris Separator, and process piping to bpTT’s LACT unit.
How Did SMSCL Help?
Our certified team conducted site assessments, risk evaluations, and planning sessions with PerencoTT and bpTT to ensure full compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The fabrication phase involved collecting raw materials supplied by PerencoTT, including pipes, fittings, valves, beams, and plates. Our team produced high-quality piping spools, with each weld undergoing 100% visual inspection, radiographic testing (RT), and hydrotesting per ASME B31.3 standards.
We fabricated 14 structural steel pipe supports—five dual-pipe and nine single-pipe—ensuring durability and longevity. Post-fabrication, spools were blasted and painted following NACE SSPC SP-10/NACE 2 standards for environmental protection.
In the field, our team conducted verifications and developed construction isometrics, guaranteeing accessibility for maintenance. We provided scaffolding, rigging, and lifting equipment, anchoring steel columns to concrete plinths and installing piping spools, ESDVs, valves, and pig receivers as per AFC isometrics and P&IDs.
Leak tests were performed using potable or treated seawater in line with bpTT’s environmental policies. After dewatering and depressurizing, we applied final touches, including painting and flange protection.
The project also involved modifying an existing 8” piping spool for an export line tie-in, which required isolating and draining the line, removing the spool, cutting, re-welding the tee joint, and installing additional tees and valves for future scalability.
Additionally, SMSCL fabricated a structural support system for the 10” Pig Receiver, complete with an access platform and stairway for operational access. This was fabricated offsite, tested, and installed at the site.
At SMSCL, we remain committed to delivering world-class infrastructure solutions.
From site assessments and fabrication to installation and safety testing, our rigorous processes ensure compliance with international standards and deliver long-term operational excellence.
