HSE is the life and soul of SMSCL. Our HSE culture begins with our proactive management. We conduct bi-monthly meetings where our seasoned thinkers and action-takers discuss new developments in local and global HSE practices.

As a STOW certified company, we strictly observe all eleven (11) elements in our core operations to provide clients with guaranteed and legitimate protection on job sites. Our innovative team also invests in research to upgrade our safety procedures against international standards. As part of being STOW certified, our management is trained to be leadership experts who implement document control, manage risk, as well as adhere to legal requirements to tremendously minimise risks and hazards for our valued clients.

At SMSCL, we acknowledge that an ambiguous HSE plan threatens project continuity, causes financial losses, lawsuits and reputation damage. We perform extensive planning, set actionable goals and invest in up to date training to prevent these threats from burdening our clients. Before any project begins, safety audits are conducted to inspect job sites, equipment, vehicles used for transportation and emergency response plans. Based on findings revealed in these audits, we generate reports to specifically identify what issues need to be resolved. Before commencing projects, the company also conducts a safety orientation training for the project team. This is to ensure our talent performs their tasks against HSE best practices and clients uphold an unshakeable confidence in the company’s brand.

Consistent leadership walks ensure work is being done according to the standard of SMSCL and the expectation of the client. These audits are conducted bi-weekly by executives to reassure the client that management is committed to enforcing SMSCL’s HSE culture. Risky or inappropriate practices are immediately reported.
